‘The Wife’ was launched this September with a gala presentation at Toronto International Film Festival, receiving a 5-star review from The Guardian, reviewed also by Variety, and Screen Daily,  who state that ‘Jocelyn Pook’s eloquent, rippling score subtly undermines the tributes and the superlatives, casting doubts on everything that Joe says.’ The film, directed by Björn Runge, stars Jonathan Pryce, Glenn Close, and Christian Slater in his adaptation of Meg Wolitzer’s bestselling novel about a woman (Close) who decides to leave her author husband Joe (Pryce) on the eve of his Nobel Prize presentation in order to finally pursue her own writing aspirations.
